Braving a 45c humidex, the Uxbridge Grizzlies Peewee Minor team played their way to championship Sunday in the 2018 Muskoka Cup for 12 and 13 year old Peewee players—taking place the June 29-July 1 weekend in Huntsville. In its second tournament in two weekends, the Grizzlies finished second place in the consolation final against the host Muskoka Hornets. The Grizzlies were one of 12 Peewee teams competing at Huntsville's McCulley Robertson Diamond Complex.

We have had tremendous demand for baseball this year and are now at capacity with well over 300 registrants. Here is what we are offering in 2018:
​Ages 4-5: WAITLISTED - Introduction to Baseball (2013-14) - Wed nights - $85 - Must be age four at start of season.
Ages 6-7: WAITLISTED - Junior Rookie - T-Ball (2011-2012) - Mon/Wed nights - $180
Ages 8-9: WAITLISTED - Rookie (2009-2010) - Tue/Thurs nights - $200
Ages 10-11: WAITLISTED - Mosquito (2007-2008) - Tue/Thurs nights -$200
Ages 12-15: WAITLISTED - Peewee/Bantam (2003-2006) - Mon/Wed nights - $200

Contact Lisa at  lbruce_4@sympatico.ca   and ask to be added to our list.]]><![CDATA[We remember Scott Koogje]]>Sat, 11 Nov 2017 05:00:00 GMThttps://www.uyba.ca/uxbridge-baseball-news/we-remember-scott-koogjeWe were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Scott Koogje on Saturday November 4, 2017. Scott was not only an Uxbridge Fire Fighter, but he was also a volunteer within our organization. As a Grizzlies rep coach, he volunteered his time to teach our kids the game of baseball and that in itself is a great gift.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife Lisa and his boys Zach and Drew as well as the rest of Scott’s family.
