About House League
We offer the following divisions for house league baseball, based on the participant's birth year. Registration for 2027 will open up on Family Day - February 15, 2027. Follow @uxbaseball on Instagram for live updates from our association throughout the year. Intro to Baseball 4-5 years old, 2022-2023 (must turn 4 prior to June 1, 2027). Players get to know the game through fun activities involving hitting, running and fielding. One night a week. Junior Rookie (T-Ball) 6-7 years old, 2020-2021. Players are introduced to the game. A tee is used for hitting, with no pitching. two nights a week. Rookie 8-9 years old, 2018-2019. A pitching machine is introduced so players can get used to swinging at a ball and timing their hitting. Two nights a week. Mosquito 10-11 years old, 2016-2017. Pitching is introduced, with players pitching to the batters. No base stealing. Two nights a week. Peewee/Bantam 12-15 years old, 2012-2015. Two game nights and one rotating bi-weekly practice. Full baseball rules. ----- What to expect Uniforms Players receive a baseball hat and team jersey with registration. Equipment Each player must provide their own baseball pants (gray), a batting helmet with a strap, a baseball glove and protective gear. Baseball cleats are at the parent/guardian's own discretion and must be rubber (no metal spikes allowed). Each team receives a bucket of baseballs, bats and catcher's equipment (if applicable for the age group) that are shared. Games and practices Games and practices can start as early as 6:00pm or as late as 7:30pm for older divisions. Usually there is one game and one practice each week, on weekday nights. Please be on time or early for your child's game or practice so schedules can be maintained. Sponsorships Make your presence in the community known with a league sponsorship!
