House league baseball is here!
We are excited to welcome the more than 280 young ballplayers who have registered with us for the upcoming season. Teams and coaches are assigned and parents will hear directly from their coaches or managers about practice and game times. Registration for house league closed in early April. Key dates: May 19: Practices begin with two weeks of skill-building and team bonding (except Intro to Baseball). Dates and times to be shared by your manager/coach. Uniforms will be delivered prior to opening day (hats, shirts) on May 30. May 30: Opening Day and Picture Day. Play your first game as a team and come to the Senior Centre for pictures. Details of time slots and diamond location will be shared by your team manager/coach. June 2: Intro to Baseball (4-5 yr olds) begins Equipment you need to supply: - Glove and helmet - Baseball pants or jogging pants (do not wear shorts) - Jack or jill to be worn at all times (Rookie division and above) - Good running shoes are recommended - We supply bats, though bringing your own is ok too. Volunteers are always needed Please send a note to [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering. Time commitment is about 3-4 hours a week to help run practices and games for your child's team. Note a valid Volunteer Sector Screening is required of all volunteers.
